What is #GivingTuesday?
#GivingTuesday was started by the UN foundation last year as day of global giving. It’s about working with friends, family, and colleagues to support larger community causes and charitable organizations, such as helping a family bring home their adopted son, teaching young girls how to design and build iPhone apps, or supporting recovery efforts for Typhoon Haiyan.
Who Can Participate:
- Campaigns that are cause-related -- which means that the campaign is meant to raise awareness and funds to support another person, organization, nonprofit or foundation that you’re passionate about.
- You don’t have to be a 501c3 non-profit to participate.
- Your campaign does not necessarily have to support a 501c3 non-profit.
